Exporting Your Data

Export an encrypted backup of your vault, or print binders as PDFs for external use.

Why export

Exports help you keep a backup you control, send a record to someone outside VeraLocker, or prepare documents for insurance, travel, home maintenance, or tax workflows. Export your whole vault as a passphrase-encrypted file, or export a binder as a PDF or CSV with Pro.

Export only what you need

Exports can contain sensitive information. Choose the smallest useful scope and store the exported file somewhere secure.

  1. 1 Open Settings, then Backup, to export your full vault as an encrypted file.
  2. 2 Open a binder and choose Print or Export PDF / CSV for a document-style record (Pro).
  3. 3 Review what will be included.
  4. 4 Save the file to a secure location or share it through a trusted channel.

Protect exported files

An encrypted vault backup can only be opened with the passphrase you set, but after export the file is outside VeraLocker. Use encrypted storage, secure sharing tools, and careful file deletion practices when handling sensitive exports.
